Judy Fuller CMT, RYT

Judy Fuller is a Holistic Somatic Practitioner, in practice since 1990, with extensive training that includes massage, craniosacral bodywork, hypnotherapy, Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counseling, Svaroopa® style yoga, Embodyment® yoga therapy and trauma-informed yoga. Judy's wide background allows her to bring a unique, integrative expertise to each class and private session. Having experienced chronic back pain and illness herself, Judy is passionate about empowering others to overcome their own obstacles to a healthy, vibrant and joyful life.

Judy does this by teaching a Core Opening style of yoga that not only freed her from her pain, anxiety, and illness; but also led to more energy, vitality, and bliss. Her students receive individual attention and propping during class, along with developing home practices specific to their needs. Private sessions are available for those with more specialized needs, or for those wishing to move more quickly on their healing journey.

Testimonials

I went to have my bone density checked 7-12-16. Much to my surprise, and Dr. Agness' surprise also, my bone density has improved by 14% in the last 3 years. I attribute this to Judy Fuller's Yoga class, drinking raw goat milk and taking a calcium supplement. At 60 years of age, I'm very pleased to see my bone density improving. I had previously been diagnosed as slightly osteopenic due to my age.

I am in Seattle right now taking care of my grandson. I was concerned about my back, but probably because I do the yoga every night I never had a backache from this trip! Judy, I am so glad I met you and learned this yoga. I will keep it up.

Judy is the kind of teacher who comes along rarely. When I started yoga, I had planned to take another class. But I made a mistake on the date and time and ended up in Judy's class. What a lucky mistake! Both in her classes and workshops, Judy is tender, clear, compassionate, and highly intuitive regarding her students' various physical and emotional needs. Through her guidance, the way I feel in my body and spirit have improved dramatically. I wholeheartedly recommend her workshops and classes.

I'd like to tell you my story, and happily recommend Core Opening Yoga as taught by Judy Fuller and Chiropractic care as practiced by Dr. Richard Thornton.

I had tried physical therapy, pain relievers and muscle relaxants, acupuncture, and exercise to alleviate my back pain. At the end of 2011, I could not tie my shoes, pull up my socks, sleep all night or do many other normal activities. In January, 2012, I started taking Judy's yoga classes and began a daily home practice.

In 6 weeks I was able to go through my day in a much more comfortable way. As time passed, I began to return to an active lifestyle. Some of the highlights of the past year are activities I would not have been able to do prior to adding yoga to my daily routine, including snorkeling, long car rides, and kayaking. I am always so amazed at how happy I am now to be able to do simple activities such as housekeeping and gardening. My husband and I are now much more mindful of sticking to good health habits and taking joy in our everyday activities. I wish you all good luck and hope that you find relief from your discomfort.

Since I've been doing yoga with Judy, over the past 3 1/2 years or so, my physical health has improved in many ways. I used to have very bad migraines, and now they are gone. I haven't had one for over a year now.

For a good part of my 63 years I suffered off and on from pretty severe neck and back pain, years of core strengthening with well-intentioned trainers and yoga teachers, as well as help from doctors and chiropractors had, in the end, only made it worse.

After a year or so of taking classes from Judy, and gradually developing a regular home practice, my neck, back and shoulders started to improve. When I keep up with my home practice and Judy's classes, I no longer have serious pain. When I overdo it while gardening or lifting grandchildren, for instance, I know what helps me. Working with Judy on all this has made a big difference in my quality of life.

My mental/emotional health is better for knowing Judy as well. I've had some difficult emotional challenges in the past few years, and the daily yoga practices I've learned under Judy's guidance, as well as all the self-care tips she has given me, have made a sometimes difficult road much more navigable than it otherwise would have been.

Judy is a talented massage therapist, using the best of several styles, and her own intuitive approach to what a body needs. I truly don't know what I would have done without her in my life, without her healing hands, her compassionate heart, and her very practical advice about healthy living whenever I need it. We know that 'when a student is ready, the teacher will appear,' and I was clearly ready for Judy when she appeared in my life. Thank goodness.

The yoga that Judy teaches has done wonders for some lower back and hip issues I have. Judy's concern and guidance has brought back hope that I will be able to do the things that matter to me again.

I started yoga with Judy Fuller because I was having what seemed to be irresolvable back problems. After working with her, and also doing a home practice as she suggested, I am happy to say that my back issues have disappeared. I am grateful to have had the good fortune to attend Judy's wonderful, informative classes, and look forward to deepening my practice with her inspiring teaching.

I used to go to the chiropractor for adjustments, on average, once a week. Since taking Judy's Core Opening yoga classes, and doing a daily practice for nearly 2 years now, I haven't needed to go back. I love her style of teaching, and keen awareness of what her class is doing and how we're doing it! And, most of all, I love how I feel after every class...

Thank you for saving my vacation!! A week into our trip I have walked miles through town every day and I am completely pain free! I feel my usual energy returning after months of inactivity.

I first came to Judy before a 7 week trip to Europe and the middle east. I was having severe knee pain and was taking pain relievers every day. How would I manage the airports, luggage and exertion of this trip? Judy knew after a few minutes that the problem was more in my pelvis and back than my knee. I was able to make one more appointment before the trip and, thanks to her incredible experience, my entire trip was pain free. She taught me some postures and mixed up an oil for pain that is pure magic.

She also helped my husband with neck pain so that we were both able to hike, bike and walk every day.

Thank you, Judy!!
